my lovely cat is in a bad way, we found out this morning that he's bleeding from his rear end, took him straight away to the vet, and the vet said it's so bad, they are going to have to sedate him just so they can look at it, he thinks he may have been bitten. Have left him and we are all so worried

thought everyone had forgotten. This is so nice!

It turned out that he has an infection of the anal glands (really nasty and very painful), they sedated him on Wednesday and sluished it all out. He's on Anti-B's which I am having to crumble onto ham, roll it up and stick a cat treat in the middle for him to eat it (he won't just eat ham

) for 7 days. Just been back to the vets this morning and the vet checked him out, said it's still quite bad and needs to see him in again in a week.

£100 + just to have your bum washed out

Awww glad he is okish and I am sure he will get a clean bill of health when you take him back.

Spongeys cat Fudge had rear end problems as well recently. Must be something in the air with them.
We had a cat who had an abcess (sp)around the botty area from being bitten by his brother too.

Aww,hope he's okay.I've just finished the last course of anti-biotics for little girl "Cleo" bunny.Three weeks of treatment for a nasty bladder infection,poor thing was peeing blood and in pain and soiling herself.Cost me nearly £150.00 all in, that was for three vet visits,painkillers and anti-biotics.Thankfully she's ok now and back to her usual naughty wallpaper chewing self.
