It wasn't the present part, it was the putting up of the tree part, and knowing you have to scramble about in a dusty loft to accomplish it, makes it all the more special......xxxx
youre more than welcome to climb into the loft
i'll make the tea

I have my own problems with ladder holding and resisting the urge to pinch OH's bum as he ascends .......

Just the word "ladder" gives me hives! Mr. Lori had 2 surgeries and a 10-day stay in hospital trimming trees from a ladder in our driveway. Not to mention 3 months of wheelchair convalescence and months and MONTHS of further convalescence. Not quite 2 years ago...

NO! He was using wooden ladders that have been down the side of our house for twenty years...........................they snapped in half

I remember it, Lori. How's Mr. Lori now (and how's your back too!)

You should have smacked his bum HARD before he stepped on the first rung.....MEN, they have to be watched at all times!
Indeed they, do, Syd.
He's walking around, thank God, Cosmo, but I'm afraid he's always going to have the pain.
Soozy, that sounds awful!! Glad you're through with THAT!

I'm so sorry to hear that he has continued pain, Lori, but it's still great to know he's walking around again
Blimey Soozy; and they say walking under ladders is a curse; seems stepping onto them isn't all that good either

Yeah but ...............................I did call him a tight B and told him to be careful. These ladders should have been on the antiques road show.
In all honesty - it could have been so much worse - bad enough - but getting better now!
