so, hubby took the dog out this morning.

Came back with two massive puncture holes in his forearm... bleeding all over the place.

Apparently, our dog (on the lead), had met up with his floozy Border Terrier girl dog and they were nuzzling, wagging and generally licking each others bits in a frenzied delight. Then came an off the lead Staffie, which was also all waggy waggy.

However, my dog was not happy about this and went all Kujo. My hubby was trying to pull our dog back away from the loose staffie, which had finally decided "oooh you want some do ya?" and was snarling back. By this time our dog was virtually foaming at the mouth, so when they nearly got to each other, hubby stuck his arm inbetween the two dogs!

DOH!!!!! Our dog accidently sunk his teeth into his arm.

Am I wrong to feel sorry for my dog, rather than my husband?

will my dog be in trouble if he presents himself at the clinic with a dog bite?

Na, i think given how it happened and the fact its your dog (unless your hubby really hates the dog now) it will be cool...he should get it looked at innit

He doesn't hate the dog (not like the time when he stuck his head infront of the dogs head when he was trying to eat his dinner... and the dog, erm, slightly nibbled his nose... he hated him a little bit then!)

I think maybe he should go up the clinic then. The bite is on the underside of his forearm.. so it looks like the teeth met, and its ripped through the muscle!

Am beginning to feel a little sorry for hubby now.

LaughLaughLaugh was it still alive and hopping?

Yes, and making the most awful shrieking noises. Hubby rescued it and took it back up to the pond. Poor little blighter.

Don't worry sweetie, my OH cut the leg off a frog with lawn mower, and apparently they grow back Valentine

So I understand pussycat. Nature is amazing isn't it?

Our little frog was perfectly intact - no blood or bite marks showing so it was safe to pop him back in the pond and he scuttled away immediately and hid underneath one of the pond plants for safety.

Loving the humour in this thread.

Sorry ditty.

No need for apologies... I fully agree with Stonks on this one.

After all... it never seems to happen when I'm out with the dog!

It was the same with my BIL, he droppes a box of matches by the dogs food bowl and instead of waiting for the dog to finish he put his toe on them to get them back..the screams were so funny when the dog got his toe.... Laugh
When they divorced she got the dog, the dog would'nt let him walk past the house with out going for him..but he was a dote with everyone else.... Laugh

They know Stonks.. they do! I trust my dogs judgement on people!

We had a pervy plumber in to fit a new bathroom... I didn't think much of him, hubby and my dad thought he was great. My dog HATED him... absolutely hated him. Never seen him so aggressive towards anyone!

Dog was right. The plumber was a shit plumber... and tryed to rip us off!

Frogs can be dangerous, with proper venom and everything EekerOne of my girls once stuck her nose into where she had no business sniffing. She was bitten (do frogs "bite" Confused) and her face swelled up to 3 times bigger.

She was poorly for nearly a week afterwards.

I have heard of this before... one of the people that walks their dogs round here said their dog approached a frog/toad up by the reservoir and it ?spat at the dog. Dog was v v poorly... swollen face etc.
