He's a week old!

SiL said on Fri/Sat that they've been turning down the ventilator a little bit to gradually get him off it Other than that no change, he's still doing well Mommy and Daddy on the other hand are bloody knackered!

That's great news Jen.  He looks a lovely healthy colour in the picture too.  Master Cinds decided when he was ready to come off the ventilator, although he was about 6 weeks by then, but he would somehow get his little fingers under the tube and pull it out.  That's when they moved him on to the CPAP driver.

Jen I'm thrilled that Archies progression is moving forward constantly.  Big hugs to you all. 

Yeah his Mom keeps saying he gets less red by the day.

My only niece (from other side) was Prem too (born at 26wk and was 900grams) And that Sil was saying the same thing about the ventilator yesterday, her daughter pulled it out constantly (shes now 14)

What until he gets bum cheeks.  I remember being thrilled to bits that he had a proper little bum.

I'm delighted that Archie is continuing to do well, Jen.

Just thought i'd update you all.

Archie had a couple of 'bad' days last week needing his dose of morphine upped (after the operation on his heart) and he started taking steroids as a result of a collapsed lung. He is now doing really well again and I'm pleased to tell you all they took him off the ventilator yesterday Well he pulled it out himself..... He gave his Daddy a really good Father's Day prezzie there i think

I'm really hoping they get to cuddle him today Soozy! 3 weeks old yesterday and they still have been allowed a hug.

That must be awful ...........just imagine how awesome it'll be though when it finally happens. They'll have to be careful though - if it were me I'd just sqeeeeeeeeeeeeze maybe a bit to hard.

I dont think they've weighed him for a while since the Op and everything but the last time they did he had gained about 3oz (his op was last Monday)

Mummy got to cuddle him for a whole hour today.... for the first time at 3wks old. I nearly cried when the pic came up on phone from my brother (if i hadnt been on the school run out in public i think i would have!) She just looked soooo happy
