That happened to a friend of mine a few years back, so bloody rotten, especially the Parents who've worked hard and saved up for their Kids pressies.....I HATE folks who take other folks property.....I hope karma catches up with them soon....

it was just after 2 in the afternoon and the house is next to the school gate,community centre and local gym they obviously planned it well, i never heard a thing

They do plan well Aims..when we got burgled..we were upstairs in bed...didn't hear a thing..our nieghbour got done the same night & their jack russell never made a noise!...scarey stuff!
The police said there were Fagin style blokes that had youngsters working for them & they watch very carefully!

True slim, my other neighbour got done about 2yrs ago, she was hoovering upstairs and she had left the back door open

My mum was burgled on 21st December last year and they took all the presents, they came back to finish the job in February of this year.
I suppose they knew the insurance money would have been through by then and went for seconds.
Thieves disgust me.
It also makes your home not feel like your home anymore (my mum said)

i know how you mum feels
when i was burgled my daughter was a baby and they had gone through all her things in her room 
OMG .....that's just awful. I'm very lax about door locking etc. - we live in a quiet village but ...............it certainly makes you think. How disgusting to target a family with young kids!

Back in the 1979's when my kids were little...we lived in a cul de sac whichad around 26 houses.
Christmas Eve/ Christmas morning three of the houses were burgled and all the childrens presents were taken.One family only had one little boys the other two families had 2 or 3 children each.
The whole of our cul de sac and neighbouring streets donated gifts and food to the families so the kids could still enjoy Christmas. Of course they didn't get what they had hoped for but at least they had a decent Christmas.
Every year after that my husband slept downstairs with a cricket bat on Christmas Eve.
There are some really evil people on this planet of ours.
