I saw a bit of this programme and it was rather disturbing. Eeker Whilst i love monkeys of all types these poor little things shouldn't be treated like this. The tiny baby was crying whilst they were trying to put a nappy on her and the commentator said that they can never be house trained. Surely that must tell them that they are not domestic pets and shouldn't live as such. She was terrified as their other two "babies" were an american pit bull terrier and a bull mastiff who were very noisy and kept licking her, one gulp and she'd have been swallowed whole! Another woman was celebrating her monkey's 18th birthday (not sure if that was monkey or human years), it was dressed in pink, had a cake and presents and was then taken out for ice cream. This woman unbelievably had six children, none of whom she had had any contact with for 5 years. She'd fell out with them as they became teenagers and wanted to become their own person. Obviously a complete control freak!! Mad

I didn't watch this, but my son did and told me about it this morning. I would have had to switch off if I'd been watching. Unbelievably cruel. These people obviously don't care about animals at all if they can exploit them in this way for their own selfish reasons. The suffering they cause is appalling and should not be allowed.

I watched a few bits of it between other programmes. I was sad for the owners but equally angry at them also. Must be a sad kind of life to lead to have to keep a monkey as a baby but the poor little monkeys seemed so sad at times too. I remember watching the programme about people buying dolls that looked and felt like newborn babies and was disturbed by that too.

Omg i remember that. They bought proper buggys and walked around the shops with them. I think one lady even went to America to buy the baby doll.

Nod very disturbing. I'm all for hobbies or collecting dolls/cars/buttons but this went beyond anything like that.

She was bliddy awful that woman, weren't she?!! I couldn't believe she actually resented her kids for growing up and moving out of home!! They way she treated that monkey was seriously disturbing and the whole program left me feeling sick. Those poor monkeys. I hated the bit where the breeder took that couple into the cages and the poor (monkey) mother was obviously distressed at having her child taken from her. Mad

I saw it too and it was disturbing watching those poor monkeys or monkids as they called them!! but the baby girl monkey cried and the couple took it home they had 2 dangerous breed dogs at home who licked it quite roughly i thought and the poor little thing looked at the camera after nearly being knocked over as if to say please help me before i am his lunch. These people need help badly but America as the commentator said have no laws regarding people keeping monkeys surely it should be changed after watching this programme..

Oh gawd, i didn't see that bit! Mad How awful, i just don't know how people can be so cruel. The arrogance of some people takes my breath away sometimes, thinking that they can just do whatever they like with another species just to suit themselves! Angry
