Pirate

Ditts   hang in there and have Mr Ditts give you huge cuddles from us lot.

Rawks   great post - know exactly what you mean.   It does get better Pirate even if it doesn't seem possible right now, one day you'll manage to talk and laugh about your times with her again (and occasionally for no good reason you'll just get hit with a wave of emotion and you'll just burst in to tears - it's just all part of being human)

Fankoo. It was some ten years ago now. For ages afterwards I used to go into the front room expecting to see my mum sitting in her favourite seat at the end of the sofa behind the door

There are no words that can stop the pain you're feeling Pirate, feel them and let them pass through you for release along with the many tears that come. Like others here I too have been through the loss of parents. Everything you're feeling is the measure of love and memories/thoughts you have for your Mum, if you didn't care you wouldn't feel it. Maybe not for everyone because of a different belief to mine but when I grieved there was also a part of me that felt relief my Mum wasn't suffering any more from the physical earthly situations experienced here. I still miss her, I always will, but personally I know she's in a much better place without any suffering and it would feel selfish of me to wish she was still here and suffering. I still have my memories and photos of happy times and they help to make me smile even though it's bittersweet at times. Big Hugs for you as you go through this painful time in your life xxxx

You just expressed the all same sentiments I had when my mum died. It says it all. Thank you for that.  I do hope you read what she said pirate.

Xochi

just wrote thing for mom

phoned sis told her she should read it out

i read it to her

some of it cos rest is personal

All three of her children shared the love

And support of our mom

We’ve had major hiccups in the past

But she raised kids who loved her

No matter what

We loved her

She went on to share the love of grand children and great grand children

And that is the best legacy

we will always love and miss you
