It's one reason (if not the best reason) why people should stick together and give LC a try. We know each other. To be honest I don't fancy starting over again anywhere with new people who don't know me.

To all those here suffering from painful physical conditions my heart truly goes out to you, and I mean that. Atm I have a friend dying from lung cancer and all my thoughts are with his wife and child. The brother of another very dear friend is also being treated for lung cancer, all of her family have died from cancer related conditions and she's really struggling to cope with yet another loss that she knows will happen.

Another very dear friend has a daughter who has serious heart problems and is beside herself with worry, she's also extremely worried about her partner who has serious symptoms of advanced diabetes, he's gradually losing his sight and is in much pain.

As for me I've been struggling for the last 2 years years with either sudden or expected death of friends or family. Life's very challenging at times. Without friends and family support it's often tough to get through but in the end we have to find our own strength, and mostly we have have more of that than we realise.

I shoulda been in bed a good half hour ago... I got sidetracked...

just wanted to say to CO & the rest of ya's... tis true, we are more than words on a screen!

(when I met my hubby he was merely words on a screen! Big Grin)

Anyway... I just wanted to say thank you to Ducky, Shar, Stonks, Ros & Essix again.... they found me over on LC tonight.... blubbing and sobbing.... and pulled me out of it.

If I hadn't been on the interweb I would still be bawling into handfuls of kitchen roll (which, btw, makes your nose really sore)!

This is the only "community" I have come across that pulls together like this, when needed. Its a bolthole and a lifeline, a giggle & a nightmare, a collection of the most varied and lovely peeps on the web.

Tonight it feels priceless to me.

This is where my teknalogikal stuff comes in handy.

At the top of the page where it says "sites". In that bit it says "livecloud support". I have my own special thread there called "so it's clear in my head" for all my questions. I ask lots of questions so you'll find me there quite a lot Big Grin

Failing that check the yellow triangle beside where it says you're signed in. That's me that is Thumbs Up

Comrade O, I have come into your thread late, the reason is, unless it's a Happy Birthday, congratulations thread etc. I need to read every post, I can't just jump in mid post, I've only just read every post. What you are going through, I have lived and breathed it, so has my husband. The fact that you can speak to us must be a comfort, some people are alone. We are all here for you Sweetheart day or night. Hug Valentine

Reading through this thread again reminds me how much support this forum gives people.

I can't work at the moment, due to an ongoing medical condition and am on my own in the house a lot, because when things get really bad, I can't leave the house, my husband works full time and often quite late into the evening, and without this forum, I would basically be slumped in front of the telly or reading and probably feeling more miserable.

I try not to feel sorry for myself, but it's hard at times, the condition I have, to do with balance will only get worse and I have been told there may come a time when I will go completely deaf and not even be able to drive any more, which is my independence, at least on good days, I can get out in my car.

Then I found this forum again, I used to be on the old C4 one, back in about 2007 and even though it took time for me to feel like one of you, because a lot of the people I knew in the LUT had gone or renamed, I now do feel like a proper FM.

You have helped me all so much this summer, with a broken wrist, swine flu and the worsening of my ears. I have laughed with you, cried with you and felt like one of a really special club of people.

Thank you for that, and even though I have had great concerns about LiveCloud and the fact that it at the moment seems to be splitting FM's off in different directions, I'm sure once the forums are over there it will be fine, so I'm sticking to you lovely lot and DS when I fancy an argument!!

You are all stars, some of you (you know who), especially Hug Valentine

Sorry to high jack the thread and I really hope Comrade is ok, but I just wanted to say that.
â™ĨPinkBabe1966â™ĨThe Angel under the tree!
Pinkbabe 1966, absolutely no apology necessary. Hug

I agree 100% with your sentiments, my OP was made in a moment when I felt absolutely (climbing the walls) desperate, after hitting the enter key, I did think "what am I letting myself in for here" but I've been touched by the kindness of the people on here many of whoms problems probably put mine in the shade.

Thank you all again. Hug I was unsure about LC myself but having seen how lovely you all are I'm going to give it a go.

Some of you have PMed me, TYVM I have not got round to answering many yet but I will and it is very very appreciated. Thank you all again.
Comrade Ogilvy
Hug It's a truly horrible place to be but hang in there it will get better.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must but don't you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow;
You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit;
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.
~Lee~
