Do they get cold?

Do you put chiwauwau clothes on them?

I like these 'semi' bald dogs (Chinese crested dogs).... complete with mullet and furry boots.

I'd quite like one of these, not sure how my terrier would take to it, he'd probably spend a week wondering what it was!

i dont usually judge dogs by breed and it annoys me when peeps do...but...having worked with several different breeds of dog etc....i have NEVER come across a nice chinese crested...yet lol (i nickname them gremlins)
they look cute when they are not snarling or lunging for you though

there are obviously nice ones...somewhere lol! but the ones i have met in the kennels have either been spoilt rotten or used as guard dogs

Tis a funny thought, them being used as a guard dog. I did know that this is what the chinese used them for though.

But could you imagine... breaking into some compound... swag bag over shoulder... and then two of these came yapping at you!

I assume these are some exotic bald pedigree rat breeds then?

when i worked at the kennels this HUGE big wrestler looking dude came in, he owned a scrap yard. he was asking how much it would cost for his 5 guard dogs to be here for 2 weeks while he went on holiday. thinking they were german shepherds or some other big breed my boss told him the big breed price. ..about a week later he came in with some dog crates (they couldn't go on a lead they were so vicious) and they turned out to be 5 little snarling gremlins lol.

he never had a break in though

not really exotic. rats dont have breeds just varieties :P (basically looks n colours). you can get balds in same litter and furries, and dumbos in same litter as top eared. yet pets at home would charge more for dumbos and baldies as they are 'rare' (not that i like pet shops anyways)

problem is, hairless varieties are deemed an unhealthy variety in the rat fancy (just due to the fact they have no hair and so need extra care). so i dont know any proper breeders that breed them. so most hairless rats you see are bred poorly by backyard breeders or pet shops

plenty in rescue though, just dont have the room as i have 9 rats atm (i rehomed two more the other day )

we had to feed them by showing the bowl through the slightly opened door with a broom. they would jump and attack the broom and the bowl and food and water would go everywhere.
