Off topic I know, but Daniel Radcliffe was out near where she had gone for a birthday meal. She said he was lovely, but very small!!!

My daughter met Ernie and Bert a few weeks ago when she was out in London. She was really excited, and had her picture taken with them. She's nearly 17

I always sent out my husband.
Then I would take the book and read it cover to cover before he or my son got a look in.

There was another lad of about 15 on his own, but they really stuck out! Didnt care tho, they just wanted a photo souvenire!quote:Originally posted by Growlybear:

She asked him if he got on with Malfoy in real life and he said "Yes of course" Apparantly they were out with the guy who was the stunt double and got very badly injured a while back. It was his birthday

I've got a necklace or two as well
The action figure comes with a potions kit and a magic wand, it's great.
I was in Paris visiting my daughter a couple of week back, and Hogworts Express was in the Gard De Nord station, it was open to visitors to climb aboard too, apparently its doing promotional tours around Paris.

*Is jealous*
One of the last things my dad bought my son before he died, about 7-8 years back, was this special Harry Potter glass. Unfortunately, my youngest smashed it! My son was so upset (even tho he's 18 and dont really use the glass) coz it reminded him of his grandad We painstakingly super-glued it back together! It looks quite a fright, can never be drunk out of again, and sits on a bookcase, looking like the leaning tower of pisa! My son just couldnt chuck it awayquote:Originally posted by mary_bee:quote:Originally posted by fabienne:quote:Originally posted by mary_bee:quote:Originally posted by fabienne:

there is a restaurant in Lubeck (germany) called Potters, and it is all done up like Dumbledores office with Harry potter memorabilia all over the place, even items on the menu are named after characters, and you dont order drinks you order potions.
Wow! Wonder why they dont have one here?quote:Originally posted by mozart:

i meant to add my post to yours as a reply
youre right, the films dont do the books justice,
the first one i read was goblet of fire, just to see what the hype was about-i stayed awake for hours reading it
bloody fantastic-shes got a way of writing that makes you feel like youre sitting there watching the story unfold

I sent two work mates 30 miles to the nearest bookstore to queue up for the last book coming out at midnight....... i had to cover both their shift's and when they got back with the book i locked myself in the office and started reading lol.. truth honest.

Basically my entire town was out on the night the last one was released. Loads of my friends bought it then locked themselves in a house to challenge each other to finish it first.
Also, some guy ran into the middle of the street and shouted at important lines/bits of information to people waiting to buy it-he nearly got mauled
