Oh no, please. The two are lovely and I want to keep them.

That's (unfortunately) what happens sometimes though

You'll be checking them all the time, and clucking away.

Mine had hers behind the sofa, and we couldnt budge her, i had to help her with the last one (after the birth) it still was in the little bag. She had 6! I kept 2 of them, my lovely cats i have now.

Yes, yes. She's meowing at me now and I'm resigned to a night of kittens come first.

I know bugger all about cats having kittens...   but I did see something on animal rescue earlier in the week that said that the mummy cat has to be checked out when she's had kittens as sometimes she doesn't manage to give birth to them all...   and any kitten left inside her could kill her.

perhaps someone that knows more about cats could confirm or deny this (twas an rspca woman that said it...    as she carted off a cat and her kittens that some woman had found in her hedge, to the vet to be checked out)

Col, speak to your local Cats Protection league to see what they advise. I know that nursing mums can be done within a couple of weeks but most rescue places I know wait until the kittens are weaning or weaned as the mum cat can be so sore after the op that she won't let the kittens near.

Plus the CPL can give you a voucher towards the cost. They may meet all of the cost because of your health situation.

I bet the kitties are cute

Lovely news Col

I love kittens. Are you keeping them all?

Try to keep her indoors for a while. Get her a litter tray. It's best to wait until the kittens are weaned before getting her done. If she's only a little cat you'd be able to feel any kittens still inside her. You'd know anyway as she'd be going through the motions but no kitten would appear.

My old cat had 6 litters. She kept getting caught before we got her to the vet.
