It was heavy yeah. I don't think anyone is denying she stuck it to him, I don't think anyone is denying he was upset.. for me though, he was embellishing when he recounted it back to Siavash and gaslighting when he recounted it back to her.. and that will immediately scream emotional head**** to me. I had sympathy.. he lost it as soon as he started doing that.

I was thinking the same thing Porto. Either he's faking it or he is not psychologically stable enough to be in there.
Hes apparantly over his trauma today as he is happily telling Marcus how he is confident of staying on Friday!
Any sympathy I had for Freddie whilst watching the HL... gone!

I cant stand freddie, but I thought Bea was brutal as she didnt stop when he became distressed and struggled speaking.I admit to having felt sorry for him at that point. But if hes saying he's confident hes staying to Marcs..the HM he's up against,he's clearly deluded.Unless hes thinking his little performance last night will have eaned him favours from the GBP.
I'm not denying he's a twat,but I thought she was brutal.
I've just watched the bit where she came in to the bedroom to speak to him after Rodrigo had said she should.
How anyone can see that as completely genuine is absolutely ****ing beyond me.
He started off not a quiver in his voice. When she said he was not repeating what happened the way it happened then he got indignant ans started the staccato voice.. and then bliddy proved her right by lying.. yes lying people.. about what she had in fact said.
If he didn't see that as a lie then that would worry me even more, because he is then one of those people who will have a conversation/disagreement and when it is over brood on it, re-run it and let the cracker factory re-write it in his head to fit his feelings. Then repeat it back to the person he had the conversation with as gospel.
That, dear chums, is emotional manipulation. I've used the phrase 'gaslighting' before.. and unless his memory is shot to all hell then that is what he doing in that clip.

Bea was brutal and it was uncomfortable to watch. Nobody wants to see a grown man in genuine distress but,I agree with Tupps it was only after she pointed out that she hadnt said the things he had relayed to other HMs he started with his body spasms and breathing problems

If and when I take myself off to be by myself to gather my thoughts, (yes and I admit perhaps wallow a little bit, and feel sorry for myself) I would be very annoyed if the person whom I was 'getting away from' came and played 'Job's comforter' it would make me even more upset. I really really wanted him to tell her to eff off, but then I wouldn't say that either, because I also wouldn't be able to get the words out, and would probably hyper ventilate. Which is what he did! Glad she effed off when she did though! At least it proved she has a scrap of understanding when she's gone too far!

She has a scrap of understanding that the GBP might actually see that she's gone too far.

Awww I bet you're lovely when you're grumpy and don't do John Gielgud impressions at all.
I'm glad she effed off when she did too.. because when you're face with gaslighting backed up with the vapours you don't stand a cat in hells chance.. you'll either come out of it thinking everything he has said the way he said it is correct and you are losing your marbles.. or you will put up a defence and they'll make you look like a shit.

Its actually quite worrying that he is considering a career in politics. He will get ripped to shreds
You know what? I think we could get Cheeky-Pixie to join the brigade. She was a fan of hers but handed her 'wings' in yesterday.
If we could just drug her and play some mind games, she'll be ours. Mwahahahahaha.

She wasn't "concerned" at all. She was hoping to start another round of negativity towards him! Marcus defused that particular ploy though!
I have to say.. as genius at being a pantomine villain Bea is.. she is getting on my lils with this positivity/negativity/aura malarkey.

Well what I saw was Rodney tell Bea that Freddie is very upset and she should talk to him. Bea looked quite gutted about this, goes in to try and talk to him, he doesn't want to know right now (which is probably fair enough), she leaves and says in a concerned voice to Marcus 'Look what he's doing' (in regards to his 'rocking')
But what do I know? I support Bea, I'm delusional

That is as fake as her antique/retro clothes collection.. of which most can be bought in Top Shop.
I just know in 10 years time she'll be in Hunters and a wax jacket mucking out the ponies and screaming at little Jacinta and Tarquin.. and there won't be any of this positivity guff in sight.
I still like her though.. she's fascinating telly.

Is it safe in here?
Bea did kinda, 'kick a man when he was down,' but imo, if you break it down, all she did was accuse him of negativity,(which he is guilty of and he had accused her of,) and making assumptions re what she said to other hms, (which were incorrect on his part); tell him she didn't want to sleep with/next to him,(no nore hand jobs there then,) and say things in front of other hms which they had decided for themselves weeks ago anyway.....She can be responsible for her behaviour, (which was a bit OTT admittedly,) but not for his excessive, melodramatic, reaction to it

That's how I saw it too, Tidds. You could almost see her chest pumping-up like a pair of bellows, getting herself psyched up for round 2 (or is it 3?).
Whether Fred deserves an Olivier Award or not for the way he reacted, what I still DON'T for the life of me understand is why she CHOSE to move her bed when he was in the room Why couldn't she have just done it some other time, and then try to have a quiet word with him later?
The way she did it was motivated by spite (IMO) and to create maximum impact.....
Maz & Rawky are gonna sling my ass out of this thread in a minute!

I have been consistant in thinking that she has been good for the show's dynamics, it was all becoming a little predictable. But I can't stand her (or rather her 'character').
I have to admit though, she really wasn't that cruel to Freddie, she could have said a lot more. Freddie's reaction was more to do with his idea that he had found his soulmate being shattered. Bea can't be blamed for Freddie planning a future for them as a couple.

I'll think about it, I was in the Bea fan club but resigned! Meanwhile maybe I can come in for an occassional rant, bit like you go to Brownies for a while before you take the oath? (ps, I was a Queen's Guide, captain ofthe school hockey team and captain of the County netball team )
Bea's a buga at times and mega duplicitous but she also makes me laugh a lot too. Can't be doing with all of this 'poor lickle innocent Freddie' stuff, was different when he was laughing in people's faces etc. etc.
