Try a feather duster every couple of days, that should do the trick Rawky

I get dust daily because I have an open fire.
No matter how very careful I try to be with the ashes, they invisibly fly through the air and in a couple of hours there is a covering.
But I love my coal fire far too much to change.

I use those anti-static lemon smelling dusters, I find they pick the dust up better, instead of just spreading it around

....so what you lot are trying to tell me is that there is no way to keep dust at bay by just cleaning once a month?

Hire a cleaner to come once a week .... that way, you'll never have dust again

You need to damp dust Rawky - this way you remove it instead of just sweeping it into the atmosphere.

The cloth should be wet and then wrung out well. Then just wipe all over the surfaces.
Keep your electrical equipment dust free by using a tumble dryer sheet . This removes the static.
The more electrical stuff you have in a room, the dustier it will be.

Just leave it, and dim the lights. 

Oh, and don't move around too much.
That creates dust.

Move house

Use a few tumble dryer sheets,they're anti static and work well but you've some hope no hope and Bob Hope of removing dust for a year.

Throw all your stuff out and install a big fan that keeps the dust in the air at all times.  Sorted.

I dust everyday   but then I have a dog and I find dog hairs fly all over the place

I've got a glass TV unit and I feel your pain A quick swipe with a feather duster daily, those anti-dust cloth things regularly and soap and water (or vinegar and newspaper if it's glass) will help.

But first, you need to address this once a month gubbins

I don't dust that often.

     Use a wash leather on wooden furniture and like Issy says wring it out as tight as you can 

I only dust when someone important's turning up.
