I can't decide between inland ( un-touristy ) Bali when I was backpacking in my early 20s ( in the early 1990's ) or Blackpool when I was 11 = both excellent 
Both had their sights and sounds,
I won loads of goodies on the seafront bingo places in Blackpool and ate the best fish and chips ever - so maybe that just edges it...

Love it down there..in fact stayed between St Annes and Lytham for a while. Ansdell if you know it

oh aye however,, I went to Lytham St Annes in February once - and its strangely melancholic and romantic in the grey overcast winter..
And the fish suppers were still worth the trip alone.

ooohh, Ansdell's nice! Was down at the college there for an event couple of years ago .
It is Slinki and good beach access
Hopefully that's where I'll end up in a few years

Mallorca, Rosie .Been a few times, first time was1994 ,last time was 2001.
Not been anywhere hot since then!
