I caught the back end of the news.  Someone was less than delighted with the Banks and Building Societies. Apparently they have been selling products that the public don't need.

Is it just me? Surely that's the cornerstone of the capitalist economy. If people didn't buy things that they didn't need the whole system would collapse.

This made us laugh more than Naomi Wolf and her vagina book, or that South African bloke giving us a moral lecture.

What gets me most is that we're not even walking into this blind. Why does nobody in this country mobilize the disenfrenchised. Peaceful marches in London every Saturday for however long it takes. I suppose with all the mickey mouse degrees nowadays, we don't have students anymore who have the anarcistic fire in their belly as they did in my time, but we have lots of disgruntled pensioners, public sector workers, lorry drivers etc. One cause each week and once through, go back to the beginning.
