My freinds little boy who is 3, has just been diagnosed with a slight form of autism, which I think I know what that is. I think it's like a concentration disorder, I may be wrong, sorry if I got it wrong. His mum is a special needs teacher anyway, and works with kids who have adhd, and behaviour problems. How should I act round her son, just like I have always been before it came to light, just holding him and walking and playing with him, or do I need to be more aware of the fact that he has this condition. He's an ace kid, slightly hyper, but that's kids anyway. He can have temper tantrums but they never last long and he never get's jealous if we put more attention on his younger brother.

That's your best bet, his parents will know more than we do, especially his Mum.
I just googled what Autism is.
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them.
It is a spectrum condition, which means that, while all people with autism share certain difficulties, their condition will affect them in different ways. Some people with autism are able to live relatively independent lives but others may have accompanying learning disabilities and need a lifetime of specialist support. People with autism may also experience over- or under-sensitivity to sounds, touch, tastes, smells, light or colours.
Asperger syndrome is a form of autism. People with Asperger syndrome are often of average or above average intelligence. They have fewer problems with speech but may still have difficulties with understanding and processing language.
He seems to show some of these aspects, epecially speech now I think of it.
