Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace;
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go;
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for its living; (typical )
But the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

...And do you think it applies to you?

I was born on a Saturday and here is the photographic evidence of my daily toil...

OK, that isn't actually me, it's hoochie, my maid...

<-- This is me but I'm only asleep on the sofa cos I work so hard.

If you don't know what day you were born on you can work it out here - On What Day of the Week Were You Born?

Find out what the number 1 single and album was - this site also tells you what famous people were born on the same day as you.

Another Famous Birthdays site.

If anyone has any better sites than the above please post a link. I tried searching for what happened on the day you were born (in the newspapers) but most of the sites require cash and I have Yorkshire roots I'm not that interested!

And, if you dare, do tell what was number one in the charts and what happened on the day you were born

*hopes onetoo isn't reading this shaves a few years off real age*

Well , on the day I was born the number 1 single was: Kelly Marie - "Feels Like I'm In Love" and the number 1 album was: Kate Bush - "Never For Ever"

Hi Bunn  I always thought I was born on a Thursday but that site says Tuesday  17th Jan 1961 (don't care who knows)

I knew what the number one single was though - Poetry In Motion - Johnny Tillotson. And the number one album was GI Blues - Elvis

On 01/17/1961 - Eisenhower allegedly orders assassination of Congo's Lumumba

I could never work out how Cindy Crawford and I were born on the same day yet when asked her age she was always 5 years younger.  I know there's time difference between the US and us but 5 years is stretching it a bit

Nancy Sinatra with These boots were made for walking was No.1 on the day I was born.
