I agree, if it is just scare mongering.
I think most people here have enough computer savvy to know that it is perfectly safe on this forum.
In fact, this forum is far safer than most of the alternative forums that have been on offer lately, because our email and password credentials are in the hands of a proper corporation, not some random private forum member.
