Thats the thing, No, I dont mind fluffy...I have my reservations about a couple of others mind...

I am "peed off" with the way supes was spoken to by someone(not becasue it was fluffy) who has just been made mod, which has caused a bit of a shake up on here for some, and I dont think coming in the way they did, and speaking the way they did was appropriate, especially not while EVERYONE is adjusting, whats more, is after my saying about talking about Growly when shes not here, which has since been denied, and said post removed!!!!! (tho it is still visable in a quote) ALL I am saying is, I hope this isnt a sign of things to come! FWIW, I dont care who is mod, I will post as I always have....and it is all well and good with the people saying give it a chance (which I agree with btw) BUT in order for us to give the mods a chance, we should be cut slack too...we are all meant to be adults, no

aww jackson I think you are not getting that yes it is new for us all but if we point out something a Mod does that seems OTT which as members of this community we are entitled to, why should we not be able to discuss it and offer them advice for the future without it becoming a huge thing?

Unless you have modded a massive place you'll have no idea how you have to step back and watch things progress and bide your time and your wording too, so offering input will maybe make those new to modding  perhaps think a tad before jumping in with their size 9's  

i say we all should all stop  being so poefaced about  it and  try to have a larf.

how about letting people settle down and get sorted, and giving them some slack  and  leave off with the  winding up   of discontent.

 i could have  said a lot more but reined myself in, it would be  nice if others would too.

I repeat my  question - who do we report a mod too?   Maybe the way forward in the early stages if you're THAT pissed off about something is PM the said mod and whoever - Ted?  Lori? they report to.     Express your concerns - rather than picking them apart in public.    I repeat - I wasn't a fan of it, but I want it to work, I don't consider a mod as senior to me in anyway (resists the urge to say 'they're not the boss of me' ) and I'll only be really p'd off if they mess with what I think are reasonable posts (of mine)  - at that stage I'd like to know who to send the 'why on earth is this peron modding' message to.     Until then - they're all just fm'ers to me.

I would imagine it's Lori Kaffy? As she's still on the mod team. 

Thanks ducks - not that I'd expect to need it .. but i think it might be a kinder way to tackle problems in the early stages.

I volunteered to be a Mod on this forum as I feared we might lose it...Obviously  this hasn't gone down very well....I'm sorry about that, but rest assured I don't intend to moderate unless absolutely necessary...

I have effectively been called heavy handed on this thread because I dared to remind you that Seattle had told us NOT to 'out' new people who it was thought were previous FMs.

I have effectively been called unprofessional on this thread because I commented on the CONTENT of a post, not the poster as some would like to believe.

Given all that, why is this thread still here and why are we all still able to post in it?

dont you see, while you were "reminding" someone about their "outing" of someone, you went on to talk about somoene who wasnt here, which is also, not on...though you say today you didnt, and that post isnt there, except in a quote....sorry, I do think it was unprofessional! Not sure where you have been called a liar by anyone. And, I thought the thread would still be here, as no rules have been broken!! at least, not since you "reminded" people of the rules, so given all that, why should it not be here? we ARE all adults, with opinions fluffy, and to moderate them, IMO means keeping your own opinion out of it

I'm hoping you're all prepared to cut the new mods a little slack, whilst they get used to doing this job. Mistakes will be made, maybe, and jumping all over them for it will not help. 

If YOU want time to get used to the changes, imagine what THEY need, as they've just been put in this very public position, and are anxious to do the right thing.

We're talking about five reasonable adults, here. If you give them time to figure out the bicycle, they'll do you proud.

Absolutely agree Lori and it is a two way street ,FM's be cut a little slack while they get used to who is doing the job and if need be try to overcome any concerns/reservations they may have about it,give and take.
