People that pile stuff on the conveyor belt in a shop just to get rid of it out their baskets or trolleys. FFS! the belt will move shortly when the person in front goes

Yeah, there's another one of me hates
The self serve tills in supermarkets
GET THIS - ASDA yesterday . . . no plastic bags at the self serve.
When i asked why they said - and i quote,
"We are limiting them cos they are costing us too much money"
LOL Saint.
Sorry......

Actually.....don't Asda have a recycling scheme?
Oh yes, those self service tills ... so now they want me to unpack basket, scan it all, pack into bag, work the till, and (probably) wish myself a good day!!
And what discount do they give me for doing all their work?
I will never use one ... not ever
I think I've used them about three times since they came into operation Rexi. And that's only cos I was with someone from work

Plenty of carrier bags in Sainsburys
And you pay over the odds for your shopping to pay for them

I've never used them ... the Tesco Express round the corner from where I work roll their eyes a bit when I walk in - they know that they will have to stop stacking shelves and come and serve me ... and then people will queue up after me wanting to be served.
Blooming customers

Well all in all its good for me cause I get a bus right outside my house and get dropped back there, so no taxi fares. Which probably makes it at least comparable

the last Tesco Express I went into was very dear Rexi.

I never chose it - did you?

Personally I use them as I can get out the shop quicker than waiting at a checkout (see a major checkout annoyance highlighted by Saint and me).

I find there is not a great deal of difference in my shops across all supermarkets (I use Sainsbury's, Tesco, M&S, Co-op and used to use Morrisons until Dec and Ant were used in their adverts). Morrison's fresh food does not last very long at all. Sainsbury's and M&S are the best. I have some tomatoes from Sainsbury's I bought in June and they are still fine (on the vine).

I would have left the shopping and walk out. I have no problem with doing that. If there was a big sign indicating their policy then fine.

I really hate that ad, it's total bullcarp, I don't know anyone who has ever been asked their thoughts on a particular product. Maybe we should do a Freedom of Information request and ask for the names of these people - which would more than likely be a small focus group.
The other thing I don't believe is Asda's price lock campaign. "Where prices go down and stay down". I hope someone is keeping a note of the products and when they do rise a right royal stink is made.
big businesses who keep going on my timeline on twitter promoting their crap
oh
and the weather
Talking of "focus groups" ...
The FORD focus group were considering names for their new cars.
And came up with The Ford Focus and Ford Ka
Smokers.
Twice this week I have sat down on a shaded bench to eat my lunch and within minutes (both young women) a smoker has sat next to me, lit up and consumed two or three cigarettes. On the second occasion I got up and moved.
In Gateshead they have banned smoking in bus shelters !!!
. . .and in Durham my friend was asked to put out her ciggie while we were in an open air shopping area !!!
"I always give 110%"
OK, so go to Sainsbury's, buy a chocolate cake and give me 110% of it.

Brilliant. Can't say I have ever seen that, but it sums it up perfectly for me.
