VIRGIN MEDIA  this time . . . sent me a text,

"While things feel uncertain, we aren't raising your broadband prices this year as we normally would.

See how we're helping you stay connected."

Well thank you so much - you're helping me so much - i'm not worthy!!

Around Sept/Oct Virginmedia usually have a modest rise in prices, but that normally follows an increase in speed (in my case). I wonder if they have made no changes to speed, I'll have to check.

My question is, what lessons have been learnt, have they been published?

Have this learning exercise led to any improvements?

...or is this just another government minister throwing out a well worn phrase which sounds like they will take action but in actuality, nothing is done. My bet is on the latter.

I’d vote option 2 EC

Baz

BBC are very good at this too - I'm shocked at their sensationalist journalism

They regular fail to quantify their point.

Such as,

"Some people are being asked to travel over 100 miles to take a COVID test"

Why are they not saying how many, since when?

Just listen and it's happening all the time - no facts or figures presented just sound bite headlines

"lessons will be learnt" is the blandest political statement there is.  It is shorthand for "we messed up, we won't mess up again, but we'll make nothing but the most minimal effort in this effort because we don't really care but need to be seen as caring at this point when it's news"
