And now for something completely different . . .
PLASTIC STRAWS are being phased out completely and being replaced with none bendy paper ones.
WHY???
To save the planet - how??
I asked that in Tesco the other day - there were aisles and aisles filled with huge plastic pop bottles. So how is phasing out a tiny straw helping??

Good question Sainty
Add whoever thought up the under occupancy surcharge (aka bedroom tax)
BBC News
Four Seasons Healthcare have gone into administration
"So why has this happened?" asked George Alagiah
"Well âĶ with the increase in the minimum wage"
How dare they suggest the lowest wages possible can be a factor in a company failing.
Charges to the 'customer' compared to wages to the overworked staff are enormous

That's a good point and it rather highlights the incongruous nature of how we seem to focus on one product, but there are examples where the problem is potentially greater.
However, paper straws take me back to being a kid, the problem with them is after a few minutes use they soften at the tip making drinking your beverage a little more difficult.

They were appalling from the footage I saw. Before the game, it was said that they had a very 'robust' style of play.
I hope there are serious repercussions for Cameroon, their behaviour was disgraceful.

I agree
The thing that really turned my stomach was the Cameroon player spitting on the arm of the English player. Disgusting, whatever the scenario.

totally agree - so obvious from the replay what was going on.
Yet they remain utterly unapologetic and say they did nothing wrong.
They need a period away from international matches to learn the game.
Much has been said about people's willingness to criticise Cameroon whilst ignoring the 'humanitarian crisis' occurring in their country.
If there is a crisis going on what are they doing sending players into a World Cup?
I don't condone Cameroon for what they did obviously but if the referee had had more control......
In a nutshell Cameroon lacked discipline and professionalism all the other teams possess
