Why do companies like DFS at the end of October always seems to advertise offers on new sofa's with the indication that they will be delivered for Xmas?

Not only do they put pressure on themselves to 'knock out' more sofa's at a very busy time of the year (and occasionally fail - see Watchdog), but where are all those people who decide to have a living room revamp so late in the year?

Mucho Confuso ????

Can i find a good quality white t shirt?

No

Oh I can find a ridiculously expensive one with a dangly neck

Or a paper thin one akin to a yellow duster

But a good one?

@Saint

I bought 2 x 3 packs of v neck white and black t-shirts from Next about 10 years ago. I kid you not, they still look great and have kept their shape and overall colour. I am so impressed I wish I had bought more, I bet they don't do them anymore.

Has to be Xmas. I bloody hate how we barely get into August and they start stocking the shelves. I hate that Xmas is now overshadowing Halloween and Bonfire Night and like me all those with birthdays in November can't enjoy it because everywhere has Xmas decor up and food themes and drink themes. There should be a law to say that Xmas can go onto full tilt from Dec 1st. 24 days should be enough for anyone. Before anyone says bah-humbug, don't as its not justified, can't be justifed and an insult to everyones intelligence. Finally, take off those rise tinted glasses when it come to the Xmas adverts, they are just not that good. At least John Lewis decided not to take the micky out of those with very little this year and instead produce a CGI heavy piece of throwaway tat.

Now I love Harry Potter but Muggle net takes things to ridiculous extremes.

Discussing everything the tiniest detail - to the point of spoiling the fun.

There - take that Muggle net.

THE BBC  - or someone has chosen its "Women of influence 2016"

Here we go

Ieshia Evans

The plug :  New York nurse whose image of calm, dignified defiance during the Baton Rouge protests became an icon of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The reality : She stood in the way whilst holding onto her mobile ... by her own admission.

"It's important for our black men to know their Queens are standing up for them".

Yep she really said that
