I love Made in Chelsea

Its like the Mother Ship calling me home

For some reason I stopped watching at the beginning of Season 3

I have Season's 1-5 on DVD just sitting there and apparently they go up to 12

Dislike Spencer Mathews and Rosie Fortescue/Victoria-Baker Harber/Millie McIntosh

Love Ollie Locke (but that might change since he stabbed a crocodile to death), Binky Felstead and Toff Toffolo

 . . . and Mark Francis Vandelli is jaw-dropping

The real star is back in this series - Francis.

Proof that 'trying' is not worth it

A bit foolish  - knowing what the disease can do and how easily it spread to take paracetamol to lower her temperature before she was screened.   Irresponsible imo.

But did she do that? Knowingly - maliciously?

I don't believe it was malicious, no.     Most people, and certainly all nurses, know that paracetamol lowers your temperature.   She knows more about Ebola than most, she took paracetamol either deliberately to lower her temperature, or because she felt unwell - and she didn't think to tell screening that she felt unwell?    I don't believe she should have been struck off, but I do believe she was irresponsible with other people's safety.

Sitting in a restaurant whilst car was being serviced.

Ate Eggs Royale (I thank you)

Three young 'thrusting executives' were seated close by.

Another waited a while for his food.

Out comes the underpaid staff on a hot day,

"Sorry it's late - we didn't forget you"

Thrusting said,

"Thank you ... I 'was' going to complain'.

Think I may begin a new thread ... "W*nkers who make the world worse"

People who use mobile phones whilst driving

I see the Government are going to raise the penalty for doing so to 6 points on the driving licence and ÂĢ200 find...

Not good enough IMO...

12 months ban and re-sitting of the driving licence minimum

I completely agree.  I have been calling for tougher penalties for a long time. Daily I see this type of transgression literally hundreds of times - no joke.

We now live in a society where a stiffer almost ridiculously stiff penalty will make people change thier ways.

According to statistics being quoted this morning, one in three drivers use their mobiles whilst driving. That equates to more than 12 million drivers

But I guess statistics are open to interpretation

I never use my mobile whilst driving and it infuriates me when I see people doing it. I'm glad they are increasing the penalties.

For once I can well believe them stats, mainly through personal observation and extrapolating that out.

Why is Alex Brooker constantly on our TV ?

Why is he famous?

His work with "The Last Leg" (initially as part of the London Paralympics) led to a lot of work for disability charities, and as a result he came second in a recent list of the most influential disabled people in Britain (Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson came first).

Although he's doing a lot of TV work now (as presenter or guest on comedy shows), he's actually a journalist by training.

Can't say I've noticed, Saint. He's been a TV presenter for 4 years now, so it shouldn't really be a surprise to see him guest on panel shows and the like - that's how they work nowadays. I suppose it depends on what you watch, but I've seen his "Last Leg" colleague Josh Widdicombe appear on a lot more stuff over the last year or so than Alex Brooker...

Very unfair

I watch HAL CRUTTENDEN - a very funny comedian whose virtually unknown

Maybe he's not being promoted enough...hasn't got the right people behind him

I have to say that I've also seen Hal Cruttenden guest on a lot more shows than I have Brooker. As for being "unknown": well, I wouldn't say he has a memorable name, but he does have a memorable face.

The thing with Alex Brooker is that as well as being a presenter on a popular and very high-profile show, he's also seen by many as being a hugely inspirational figure. As I said, he's been ranked 2nd on the list of most influential people with a disability - way ahead even of the likes of Stephen Fry, who's done documentaries on bipolar disorder.
