In TESCO they have a "Fruit and Veg Team" - it's on the back of their polo shirts
Is that a bit like a football or cricket team?

Asda's roll-back scheme.
I noticed a product which had just gone on the roll-back promotion at ÂĢ1.50. That's 50p more expensive than when it was not on roll-back a few weeks ago.
And on a supermarket theme . . . .
Their MASSIVE car parks - who parks 3/4 mile from the front door?

Flash Gordon - he needs the space for his rocketship.
When people think they are being subtle and clever by saying something quite derogatory in passing, but their comment is so transparent that it shows how petty they are.
This happened to a colleague of mine today, I was less than impressed and I now have an even greater dislike for the two people involved.
well said EC
We had a smarmy, creepy and downright mentally ill boss
He would take pride in hurting others
Well he was 'asked' to leave
Nice
Food and chefs being sexed up as if its all desperately necessary and cool
It's not - I hate, literally hate Gordon Ramsay and that fat tongued cookery gimp Jamie Oliver.
Message to both - you're not in the army - you're not saving lives.
You're making sandwiches and nothing more !!!
Those people who say they are going to give 150%, before they even start they owe 50% of the effort they are going to put in!!!
So if they only put in 80% effort, where do I get my %70 ????
Oh I have been at work and told,
"Our cleaners are almost OCD about cleanliness. They even scrub the ceilings"
They set the bar impossibly high but managers act as if this is the standard they now expect from everyone.
I have seen this lead to constant criticism of other staff doing a perfectly reasonable job.
Or causing people to exhaust themselves into sickness trying to keep up.
I randomly chose a LINKEDin profile - here you go . . .
"As a project director and market analyst in the mobile web, connected vehicles and insurance telematics markets, I have a solid knowledge of practices, standards, companies and business models within this space."
I wonder why I'm not working in the business sector with this kinda crap being admired.
I'm just watching the opening credits to the James Martin cookery programme called Home Comforts.
In the voiceover Martin says "I like nothing more than cooking wholesome, hearty food that brings people together".
Blah, blah, blah. Another often tripped out sentiment used by many a TV chuff to get us to think they are loving family types and not money grabbing dolts trying to plug their latest book... off the back of the series we are watching!
Grand Designs
Achingly annoying Kevin McCloud only admiring a box with lots of glass and stripped wood .... that's clever with it's energy saving self sufficiency

I find it more disconcerting when I go into the toilet in bars and find fully grown women waiting for toilet in the gents while men all around urinate.
I'll have to disagree there EC
Grown women = grown up choice
But a little girl amongst strange men having a wee
That's not ok
Teenagers with beards
Celebrities who turn up to sporting events, but you never see them again throughout the season.

The way employers say the are a "Market leader" offering "the very best service"
And then offer the people who actually 'provide' that service i.e., the employees nothing more than minimum wage.
P.S. To my above post...we keep hearing how low the unemployment rate is but there are so many on zero hour contracts, its a disgrace. While it may suit some people, my guess is a majority would rather have "guaranteed" weekly employment and not just at the whim of an employer.

Well done to your son for managing to find a full time job Tina
Was it Come Dine with Me or Dinner Date perhaps - where someone said,
"I use my bath water to water the plants - I like to conserve our resources"
We are probably the WETTEST country in Europe FGS!!!
Conserving water achieves nothing in the UK.
A classic case of brain washed do-gooder-ism
You don't

Agree Velvy my friend - it's like i'm in a white out blizzard
Students - little sh*ts always make my area a mess. Those black things with lids, that's where you put your refuse.
Xmas - it's just a orgy of unecessary consumerism.
