Life must be tough in The Cotswolds

Rather a complex annoyance but it's about things happening to early. I returned from t'Fatherland on oct 7th and there was a huge poppy at KX station, now they are televisually ubquitous and it's not even November. I went in Boyes the other day for a new pair of sequiturs

Secateurs and they had bundled them away for Christmas displays. "It's the end of season!" They said! No it isn't! There is even a Christmas film Chanel!

Another annoyance is this damned IOS 8 predictive text. Excuse the typos and misuse of "to!"

It is driving me mad too, Joe. Since the update, my posts are littered with typos or edits!

Local football matches being shown on TV news programmes.

And literally no one being in the stands.

 

Why think we all should see this as worthy news when even the locals won't go to see it?

 

Ah, you see I quite like my daily dose of local football news. The sad fact is not all clubs can attract enough supporters to fill the stands.

 

Personally I love it when the stands are full and the place is rocking. 

If a club can't attract supporters then its not in the media interest to cover  their games as newsworthy.

If something exceptional was happening, ok

But nothing is happening - not on the pitch or the stands

 

Clubs are much more than just the supporters in the stands. They have many supporters who don't go for whatever reason, financial, work or just can't spare the time. These people may have an interesting in the club to a greater or lesser extent.

 

I'm pretty sure that if you look at a lot of sports coverage often enough you will see other sports where the supporters don't fill the stands too.

 

But as this is your personal annoyance I'll leave you to it. 

Yep leave it to me to say my annoyance is about clubs that are regularly on 'the brink' due to lack of support.

But they're on our screens far too regularly.

It just seems to me that you have a bad opinion of women more often than enough
