Ah, no: I should have explained that a bit better. I've never really considered posting anything that could break forum rules (at least not intentionally), so there's never been any reason for worrying that the Mods would come down on me. However, I did/do often worry about accidental offense or misunderstanding towards other FMs, and will often ditch posts that I'm not entirely happy with. It's not a case of "Will the Mods be happy with this?", but rather "Will I be happy with this being read and replied-to?".
This forum (and others) takes up a fair part of my leisure time, so I don't want to spoil that with unintended bad feeling. I had  the odd instance of misunderstanding early-on on the old BB forum, and it was a case of once bitten...

I was banned quite a few times on Channel 4, mostly for smut, or perceived smut.

I argued a lot more on Channel 4, but I think I've calmed down my posting style a fair bit, since then. (Others may disagree)

I also think I've learnt to ignore Trolls quite well. It does work.

Oh! And in reply to your OP Prom, I always post my comments whilst taking in the tone of the thread and the type of FMs there. Bit like you would do in any social situation I reckon. I'm not the confrontal sort in RL and therefore wouldn't be here. But I do like to have my say on a lot of things.  

And fwi Prom, that's exactly why I responded to 'that' thread in the way I did. I thought you were having a fun rant, not an angry one.

Moderation is certainly more liberal here than on C4, which was utterly pathetic, biased and so heavy handed.  I never understood a BB forum where you couldn't quote the housemates comments on the actual show for fear of banning.  Especially as we were all supposed to be adults.  And then there were current affairs threads that were habitually deleted about fifteen pages in, after a lot of forumers had taken time to construct well researched and articulate replies.

Anyway, enough moaning about C4, I like this forum and I like the sensible application of moderation.

I try to be nice on here as I like the people on this forum and its a friendly easy going forum.  On other forums I'm a bit trolly and I have called other posters that certain word at certain times. 

I like that you can drop the odd expletive on this forum without the fear of the heavy hand of moderation.
