Too hot and can't be bothered to cook so sent hubby out for pizza, fries and a tub of homemade garlic mayo. Drooling at the thought of it now.

I know. I'm being really bad but I really fancied it. I still eat runny eggs too.

So did I - and seafood.
But that was in the days of the dinosaur before they said "no" to practically everything and anything.
If your constitution has managed this far, then I'm sure you'll be fine.
Oh, and by the way....why, why, why, WHY did you mention chippies and mayo???? I'm REALLY fancying them myself now
I ate prawns when I was pregnant and it never did me any harm.

I know you're not supposed to but I just really really wanted it. I've done without pate, brie, blue cheese, peanuts, alcohol and everything else that they lecture you about for 8 1/2 months. I have to admit though that I took a calculated risk with the egg thing. In 38 years on this earth I've never met a single person who's had salmonella. You watch, I'll come down with it tonight now.

aye i'm really missing out
thing is some midwives tell you NOT to eat things, and other say it is perfectly fine. never got warned against peanuts though...though i read that you shouldn't. which was a bugger cos i like peanut butter, chesses spread and jam sarnies
(wish i had some cheese spread)
I know what you mean sweetie. When I found out they told me I could have the odd alcoholic drink then 3 months in they changed it to nothing. Luckily I didn't have anything.
Can you not get Mr Hoobs sent out on a mission? Play the old 'I'm carrying your child' card.
God I miss that excuse

The thing is .........all these warnings are relatively new.
I never had cravings with my first two but I had massive cravings BIG TIME with my third. Red apples (good) Raw carrots (good) Carrs Water Biscuits without butter (hmmmmmmmmmmmmm) and ................................cream cheese (the soft stuff) with walnuts....................couldn't get enough of it.
From December to February |I lived on a combination of this stuff ...........my daughter is a fit and healthy 26 year old.
There are IMI too many scares about these days .........before all this we just did what came natural.
I must add though .........I always refirigerate mayonnaise .......................it contains raw eggs.

Homemade mayo. Blimey, you're posh! I've always fancied making mayo but I just know it'd separate on me.
Just a word of warning, though. Don't leave it out of the fridge in case Charlie finds out!!11!

It's pish, even I can do it. Egg yolks, dijon mustard in blender thingy (or use whisker thingy) , put it on slow and add oil slowly, bit o lemon, done. Never fails. Honest. Eleven million times better than owt else. Go on, make some now. Two minutes. Go on.

i agree though, there are too many 'rules' these days. like weaning as well...atm it's a minimum of 6 months old you meant to start weaning...but preferably a year old
i started at 3 and a half months with both mine
