The video posted by the OP proves that he was fit, and he was up to it. The hypocrisy is shameful.
The video had me in tears... So much wasted talent gone too soon... Im with you on the media issue.. A blogsite I frequent trashed him continously about his clothes, looks etc but now are saying what a talent he was and how fashionable he was... I agree cagney, it cannot be compared with the athleticism seen in Bad or Thriller, made when he was in his prime. But he looked superfit for a 50 year old. He still had the moves, and his voice was beautiful.

I had tickets to go see him next Feb so watching that video was a bit emotional for me Frowner

What could have been eh?

were you one of the people affected by the change in dates, when he asked for four extra days rehearsal at the O2 and had to cancel the first four shows cagney?

Thanks Hug

I'm not weeping and wailing but it did upset me. I've not participated in most of the MJ threads because they decend into farce. Taking the piss. It was my birthday treat for next year but I've decided to use my ticket refund money to buy memorabillia instead Big Grin

well pce, we are not stupid. We remember the awful press he got sometimes. They can go do one as far as I'm concerned. No tv progs, no papers, no magazines - they will make no money out of me from their hypocrisy. If I do spend money it will be on unreleased MJ music, and nothing else. And that's it. Mad Big Grin

Nah. My date was ok. Thumbs Up

It must be so disappointing for you cagney. I nearly applied for tickets but I had a strange feeling that he wouldn't make it. I feel sorry for anyone who has been affected by his death and that they will not get to see him again. Disappointed

me too cagney. I would buy ANYTHING by MJ that is available now. He has left an enormous catalogue of music as evidence of his talent.

I had most of his stuff on LPs and cassette and then later just downloaded onto my PC. I've since bought most of his CDs to collect before the price sky rockets

I do hope this thread becomes a tribute to MJ. If it degenerates into anything other than a tribute, I will not post. And this will be out of respect for his family who are grieving.

Oh my too many to count Laugh... Beat it, Thriller, Smooth Criminal, Human Nature, Who is it, Black or White, Of the Wall, Dirty Diana(the beat and guitar goes hard), Ghost, Speechless, whatever happens, Bad, In the Closet, They dont care about us, Liberian girl and so many more...

His slow songs are hard to listen to at the moment because they make me cry....

I love all the ones you listed. I done a compilation of tracks from all my CDs last year some time, for listening to while I am on my lappy. All yours are listed! Snap! He had the sweetest voice, which is evident on Liberian Girl. I like Ghosts the best tho. His dancing on Smooth Criminal is just brilliant and it brings back memories of my late brother (another huge MJ fan) imitating MJs dancing on that track. I also love watching the video for 'Bad'. His slow ones are also affecting me when I listen to them. Did you see the tribute by the Inmates?

Im sorry about your brother Angel Frowner ..

I also like smile, Music and me, Ben and Aint no sunshine.. Even back in 01 whenever I listened to his slow songs, I always felt a deep sadness ...His dancing on Ghosts was great as well...

Its a shame that artists of today are imitators not innovators. Some people say Justin Timberfake is close im like how dare they? Especially after what he did to Janet Disappointed...

I only saw a 10sec clip of it.. Do you have a linky?

thank you xx My brother has been dead five years now, so I can remember him without getting too emotional, but he just loved MJ.

I like Justin Timberlake. He has openly admitted that he copied and imitated MJs style of dancing. He always says nice things about MJ. Do you mean the wardrobe malfunction? lol.

I will go look for the link pce. It is ten minutes long but it is a beautiful tribute. Will post the link separately, ok?

If you admire someone, you will treat their siblings well I dont like how he handled the situation, he left her to hang in the deset and when he was coming out with his current album, he was talking slick about her Disappointed... Just because he surrounds himself with hiphop producers and had a couple of mediocre albums he thinks he has arrived...Disappointed He can and will never ever be a 10th of MJ......

Yeah post the link separately... I dont know about starting a new thread though some people might come down you Laugh

I didn't realise he had been disrespectful to JJ. If he did, then that is not on. When JT was interviewed, he was always gracious towards MJ. But he is never going to be as good, that is understood. I like him though, and I have a couple of his CDs.

I was hoping this thread would become a tribute pce. I had no intention of starting one myself. I think the forum could not take another thread. I would be booed lol.

Hope you enjoy the linked tribute. Careful, it may make you cry xxxx

You're welcome PCE Smiler it's nice that possibly the last footage we'll see of him is when he's at his happiest, expressing himself through performance.
I know.. I bet he died knowing that people still loved him... I dont weep anymore because I know he is in a better place... I enjoy watching his videos and interviews on youtube... I will keep this memory in my heart.....

I feel that way about him now, I'm not glad he is gone, but I am glad he has gone with the knowledge that his shows were sold out and millions of people wanted to see him perform!!!

He was never going to live to old age, most of the greats don't...(Elvis, Buddy holly)...I just wish I'd got the chance to see him, I was looking forward to it so much....

RIP Michael...a true musical genius!!! Angel

Michael had the sweetest voice when he sang ballads. The only other person who has that sweetness in their voice is Robbie Williams imo.
