Hug MM and Cyberdazzle. I've been playing a lot of his vids and it's a bittersweet feeling, his music and dance routines make me feel happy and then I feel sad that there will be no more to enjoy. We still have our happy memories though and I for one am glad to have been born in this era to witness his amazing talents. Thank you for the music Michael, wishing you Peace of soul. Valentine

Do you know I haven't cried at all about his death until I just watched that video Crying

I don't think I really believed it. I was online when it all broke in the news and coz there was so much uncertainty as to what the hell was going on it kinda took the shock out of it like if I'd woken the next morning and heard the news on the radio or TV

That video makes me so sad to think he seemed and was still such a vibrant and incredible showman and now he's dead Frowner

I'm just so tearful now Crying

You're welcome PCE Smiler it's nice that possibly the last footage we'll see of him is when he's at his happiest, expressing himself through performance.

Yes on the night the news broke it was confusing for a while as to whether he'd died or was in a coma. I was so shocked like so many around the world but didn't cry which hubby was surprised at as he knew how much I've always loved his music.

Next day I started watching some of my fave vids of him and and that's what released the tears. It's still hard to believe at times but I think it's like all deaths that affect us - whether family/friends or those we don't know personally but feel familiar in our lives - after the shock and sadness we eventually reach acceptance, however long it takes.

Oh did you I must have missed that. Watching it gives me a mixture of feelings, happy to see him happy doing what he loves and does best, sad to know this could be the last footage of him alive but if he died happy that's all I'd wish for anyone

Because I believe in an afterlife I also like to believe that's he's more aware now of all the love so many had for him, more than he ever knew while here. I've not shed as many tears as I was a couple of days ago, some vids still make me misty eyed though

I believe in the afterlife too, I just feel he is happier now... Gosh For 4days straight I was weepy especially when listening to his slow songs... I bought the invisible album when it came out back in 01 and the slow songs were haunting and really sad then and even more so now Frowner ...

As you say after the initial feeling of disbelf and tears comes acceptance and I think I have accepted it...I just wish the media will just leave it all alone now and stop the speculations...

I watched CNN two nights ago and they were talking about how fantastic his lean-forward move in smooth criminal was, are these people kidding me? why are they only recognising it now?

I know what the media is doing though, We are in a recession, we have two illegal wars with innocent soldiers losing their lives everyday, world poverty etc.. But they choose to stay on this news.. Im mad none of them have apologised for the way they ridiculed and treated him...

I didn't see that particular piece on CNN but I understand what you're saying, some are slower than others to appreciate how talented he was.

The media are having a field day aren't they. I heard the circulation of the Sun has gone up around a quarter of a million, so they won't be stopping the coverage any time soon I bet. It's the same with other media outlets, if it boosts profit or sponsorship they'll let it run till the next big story.

It made me sad to watch this video and to see Michael rehearsing and with every intention to fulfil his London dates. It made me sad to see that such a talent is no longer with us. It made me sad that this video had to emerge to prove to people that Michael still had the magic, the moves, the voice. It is there for everyone to see, doubter and believer. It is there to prove that he was the Michael who was hailed an icon, a trend setter, an innovator.

But it is also there to prove that Michael is now dead and there will never be another 'Thriller'. That makes me sad.

RIP Michael xxxx

What I should have said was I like most genres of music from whichever era but not necessarily every song from that genre lol. Thinking about it there's not too much I like from today's "pop" just occasionally I'll enjoy a certain song. Overall I think music from past decades was better than most of today's

I think back then music was more "real" if that's the right word lol. The Bands and musicians that came through had spent years learning their craft before being reecognised. Today it's more about instant fame through progs like X Factor and the like.

Michael was one of those people who caused disagreements between fans and non-fans. Some could see and appreciate his talents, some could not. When his brother and sister were on CBB, I only watched it to see if they mentioned Michael. I have all Michael's CDs and DVDs. I bought them when he was alive and he could benefit from the revenue. I have always had a special section in my CD collection devoted to MJ. So, yes, I am a true fan. Always was, always will be. But I like to think that I don't go overboard about him, but simply appreciate him for the pleasure his music has given me, his wonderful talent, and a genuine sadness that he is no longer with us.

I agree, music back then was more real and heartfelt.... I even like 80's rock Nod my dad still plays it till this day... Modern day music is just watered down junk with a 2 month expiration date Laugh

Also, the Musicians are too pompous after one mediocre album... Its no wonder the music industry is suffering and even more so with the credit crunch.. Why buy albums when they only have 2 good songs?

We are lucky that Michael kept himself high profile, because of the footage that will emerge now that he is dead. I didn't hear the interview you mentioned but I am sure it will be released onto the Net soon. Michael was too gentle and sensitive for this dirty old world we live in, and he is better off out of it. No one can hurt him any more. The media make me sick - I have watched none of their so-called tributes. They never left him alone when he was alive, and they are continuing to harass his memory in death. Shame on them!

I've got some albums from back in those times and can enjoy listening to the tracks on both sides. The artists gave value for many to their fans then. Also a lot of music from those eras have stayed the test of time and have become classics. Like you say not much value for money these days and most songs are forgotten quickly.

pce, thank you so much for that link. It is particularly poignant hearing his plans for the future. Yes, the media are making as much money as they can from his death, forgetting what they were saying just a few months ago about his fitness, his nose, and whether he was up to it. The video posted by the OP proves that he was fit, and he was up to it. The hypocrisy is shameful.

I agree cagney, it cannot be compared with the athleticism seen in Bad or Thriller, made when he was in his prime. But he looked superfit for a 50 year old. He still had the moves, and his voice was beautiful.
