Doomed airliner pilot was political fanatic: Hours before taking control of flight MH370 he attended trial of jailed opposition leader as FBI reveal passengers could be at a secret location

  • Police investigate data from home flight simulator of captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, 53
  • Investigators speak of his 'obsessive' support for opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim
  • Police officers fear Ibrahim being jailed could have left Shah profoundly upset
  • Flight MH370 disappeared more than a week ago with 239 people on board
  • Despite a huge multinational search effort, no signs of the plane or a crash have been found
  • Malaysian Prime Minister said yesterday that the plane was deliberately steered off course

Ells

There was a 'documentary/speculation' show on earlier about what might have happened. But what made me laugh was towards the end and they showed a computer mock up of the plane with the cockpit, and they put an arrow towards where the last verbal transmission came from, and they pointed it at the co-pilot.

Why are you getting upset about Rolls Royce?  It's got nothing to do with it.

Maybe Aimee is mentioning Rolls Royce because they made the engines for Boeing B777-200 planes?

Kay Burley was there defending them

It was so uncalled for imo .

No show without punch.

you'd have thought Burley was the only journalist there defending these poor women - I was kind of hoping they'd clonk her one on the head

Aims, I'm sorry if I came across harsh, it wasn't intended, and I did realise what you meant about the engines. I just meant, when engine failure doesn't seem to be the reason.

Sorry.

Don't be silly (hugs) it's me not wording it right, I meant my dad has worked in this industry all his life and I've never bothered to ask about it until now, he built engines for Concorde and we sent him on it for his 50th and it broke down at least we know where I get it from
