I don't know it's name, it's just the island.

It's Oceanic Airlines flight 815 all over again, I'm convinced.

In that case, I'm glad I never watched it.

I still think they made each episode up as they went along.   I loved it though...   I just said to my workmate today it's like Lost (but they were all dead)

That's what it felt like towards the end!

nah.. they had a rough idea.. they brought so many little things into it that I expected to have explained at some stage... I think they were all sitting around stoned and one day thought.. 'Hey - how the hell are we going to wrap this up?'   Took a vote after analysing all the interweb theories and decided to go with the Heaven's waiting room version.

Is that still being reported, I haven't seen it anywhere? Odd though, would it suggest the plane ditched over land rather than in the sea?

That was a few days ago.  Haven't heard any updates on that since then.

Satellites received signals from the Malaysian Airlines flight up to five hours after contact was lost, according to Sky sources.

A statement issued by satellite operator Inmarsat said: "Routine, automated signals were registered on the Inmarsat network from Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 during its flight from Kuala Lumpur.

"This information was provided to our partner SITA, which in turn has shared it with Malaysia Airlines."

The signals are 'pings' sent by the plane to confirm it is still there and to allow the network to determine its position

Who said that? The French one was found within days and bodies recovered within a week.

Personally, I don't think this plane has crashed.

Presumably it crashed in the sea to the west? [As that's what the US with their secretive spy technology suggest].

Why no debris?  Could the pilot have done a Sullenberg - type water landing so the plane sank intact with all inside? Been reading about pilot suicide, like the Egypt Air crash. Very chilling.

If it was a terrorist hijacking, they would have claimed it by now, surely?

However if it was a suicide/life insurance scam the pilot would have tried to cover up the evidence as here. Not sure what he did with the co-pilot though.

Not necessarily. It would depend on who they were trying to terrorise and what they were hoping to gain by it.

Just been talking to my dad about this (he used to make engines for boeing 747s) and he thinks it's at the bottom of the sea as you can't just land a plane like that anywhere but if it has landed he thinks it will be where Mo Farah is from (I can't remember the name he said ) it's where a lot of ships are hijacked. Never knew the black boxes are red not black

Ellis, I did find the reports, then some explanations as to why it's happening - apparently the ringing tone is just from the network provider so you know they're trying to make a connection, it's not necessarily ringing on their device

The black refers to the inside, I believe. As in no light!
