Nothing more scary than an uneducated nutter who is convinced he is totally in the right.

I think educated nutters who are convinced they are right have the edge on sinister and hubris (Thatcher, Blair et al). My impression of Obama is that he appears wishy washy because he acknowledges his failings and shows that he's a bit of a rookie in the politics game. I actually think he shows better leadership by recognising his limitations.

All Romney can do is crow about how successful he is as a leader, shrewd businessman and administrator. He had the cheek to come to London and declare London 2012 a failure before it had begun all because he'd delivered an 'awesome' and on budget Winter Games at Salt Lake City.

Bottom line is that Romney is megalomaniac and if he gets elected, more fool everybody!

Suzy I agree with you completely. When I heard him in the Republican primaries Romney seemed so naive. He is hated internationally, has made a rediculous number of gaffes, has no empathy, sees people as businesses and has a medieval view of women and yet he is STILL in with a chance of winning. Truly scary.

Incredibly scary and soul destroying Rox! If he wins the whole world will suffer.

Don't you mean from mad right wing nut jobs to mad left wing nut jobs,

Add the word corrupt in there too and you're on to something!

Voting closes here in FL at 7pm, which means I have 4 hours 17 minutes of these ENDLESS ABOMINABLE TV commercials. PRAISE BE!

My sympathies Roxan. They're awful even the couple I've seen.

I'm so grateful for our [limited] party political broadcasts.

They are dire I agree Rosie, nothing like over there. Full of mudslinging, misrepresentations and downright lies. I dont know how they can get away with showing something a candidate has said, cutting and editing it to completely change what the person said in the first place. And it's not just presidential commercials we have all the senate and local elections plus commercials for ammendments too.

Three hours 45 minutes now

"As if there wasn't enough for voters to think about between the presidential and congressional races, there are another 174 questions on ballots in 38 states. They span topics from legalising marijuana, the death penalty and gay marriage, to fluoride, casinos and even a bridge to Canada."

This^^^^ is just so stupid! Why are these places running this stuff alongside something so crucial as the Presidential elections?

Poor Roxan it must feel like being pinned in the corner by a really obnoxious loudmouth  I don't know how they get away with that kind of shameless twisting of things either.

Strangely though when most Americans are interviewed they're much more articulate and have really thought about policies etc than us in the UK. Especially younger ones.

Not too long now
