I know Baz, my uncle got over things in Korea but never that

Korea is one of those wars we don't hear much about, but the war itself was exceptionally brutal at times, so, sadly, atrocities shouldn't come as a surprise.

If you've heard about the close fighting the "Glorious Gloucesters" were involved in, you'll know what I mean. It's also worth remembering that some in the US establishment were seriously suggesting liberal use of atomic bombs around the Chinese border to prevent UN troops being overwhelmed...

they only do that here after 40 car suspensions have gone

The council next to us receives more council tax than the cities of Manchester,Liverpool,Leeds and Newcastle combined...and their roads are terrible, the rest of us don't mind watching a couple of Maseratis fall down potholes šŸ˜‚

Never complained about UK roads after visiting Bulgaria for work.

The motorways around Sofia were quite good, but at one point we had to travel round the side streets of one of the smaller cities, and I swear the potholes had potholes!
