US actor Michael Madsen has been arrested for child cruelty after an alleged fight with his teenage son.
The 54-year-old, who is a regular star in Quentin Tarantino's films, was arrested after officers were called to his home in California on Friday.
Madsen "appeared under the influence of alcohol", Los Angeles County Sheriff's department said in a statement.
He was arrested "without incident" and bail was set at $100,000 (ÂĢ63,735).

It is believed a family member called emergency services to the mansion Michael shares with wife Deanna and their three sons Hudson, 17, Calvin, 15, and seven-year-old Luke, though it is unclear which of the actor's kids was involved in the fracas.
Michael's lawyer Perry Wander said: "He found his son smoking pot and they got into an argument when he tried to take it away. It's a family matter and Michael asks that his family's privacy be respected."
Mug shot pictures of the star - who has two other children from a previous marriage - showed him looking dishevelled and Sheriff's Deputy Peter Gomez confirmed: "He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol."
A spokesperson for the Sherrif's Department said detectives on the scene "observed signs of injury to the minor" but he "did not appear to require any medical attention".
According to that site, Coolio's been arrested as well for non appearance in court on a traffic charge

getting drunk to any degree is not illegal, does not bring you into contact with criminals selling you alcohol and won't get you banged up for a few months and a criminal record.
Fair points Jackson but very telling that the violent one in this story was the one who'd been drinking not the puffer
Smoking Pot and drinking alcohol both damage your health and can cause people to behave in an anti social/violent manner. The only difference is that one is legal and one isn't. No Government will make alcohol illegal look at what they collect in revenue.
Seems to me the anti-MM people are happily assuming the worst of MM without knowing any real details about this incident.
Yes, it may well turn out that MM is totally to blame, but at the moment we don't really seem to know much of the ins and outs of the case.
just read some more reports - most of the coverage says he " appeared" to be under the influence , and that he and his son were fighting - implies both were violent.

But it has been my experience over many years that drink fuels violence and puffers are mellow.
Course, if you mix drink and puff then it's different.
Totally agree veggie.. if it was booze was illegal and folk went out for a smoke stead of a drink there'd be far less fights at closing time ( but huge queues at the all night garages when folk hit the munchies!)
