I am fairly sure we flew Ryan air to Poland last year...   it was certainly that kind of tariff...

hence my strict baggage restrictions by cruel Mr D!

no... if she does put in an application to one of those two it would be Oxford.

However, I'd like her to go to Imperial or UCL (London based...   so she could have a room at the flat in Kilburn with her Uncles...  owned by FIL...  so no rent!) or Southampton (good uni, and I have family down there - my great uncle - he used to be the dean of Southampton uni)

don't get me wrong... I am not putting geographical convenience & financial advantages before her education...  but they have to be considered!

besides.... I'm not sure she'd be good in the Oxbridge world

Has she been looking in to the exam and interview?
ermmm... don't think so... she has to have a short list of 5 decided by the time she returns to school.

The research and stuff has pretty much been left to us!    However, she has been going on short residential courses with the Smallpeice Trust for the past couple of years ... she has just done 4 days at Leeds Uni on Nanotechnology (after which she has decided she doesn't want to do nanotechnology)...

Its a bloody nightmare to be honest Suzy...   I am just trying to steer her towards the broader courses that don't shut too many doors.

The terms of her current scholarship (sixth form)  are that she must do a science based degree at a UK university.
