let's just say if you're a part timer in my place you're treated like muck!
I think that's a very common story LB...    despite the fact that very often part-timers do more work in the time they are there, than there full time colleagues...  on a pro rata basis!

Cos... if you are only there part time you tend not to do the "go for a wander"...  "have a lazy day"...  "spend half an hour gossiping at a mates desk" type of thing...

I know.... I have been both...     I swear I used to do as much work in my part time hours as some of my full time colleagues did in their full day!

Hi Ditty!  Exactly!! There's a new team being set up in my office and after eight and half years in the same team I'veexpressed my interest at joining the new team - today I was told I will be considered but "obviously they'll look at full timers first" So so annoying and probably illegal!!!! Grrrrrr.
I hardly ever have a day off sick and this last two weeks keep changing jobs to cover others who keep calling in sick

And breathe ...

honestly can not be doing with the hassle to challenge it!
yeah.... I know that one!   and pretty pointless exercise...   it would mean that they would go through the motions of considering you for the new team...  then come up with a legally acceptable reason for choosing someone else ("different candidate presented better at interview" was the one we used to be "advised" to use)

I always used to find it really sad when the kids went back to school. It was like seeing them a year older - more so than birthdays etc, I loved having them at home and missed them when they went back to school.

Thursday is one of my baby sitting days and it was odd to have my two year old grandson on his own ........his brother was back at school today. We did have a really and truly fabulous cuddle though. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ..............he's such a little sweetheart.
