I find it depressing that that's still very much out there
it surprised me Peter.

I worked with a woman who's daughter was going through the processes of becoming a man .  That was about ten years ago....   since then there have been quite a lot of documentaries & stuff on telly about it (or maybe I just notice them more now)...    I've sat here & wondered whether its my perception of things..  as in... cos I understand it now, and absolutely 100% accept the reassigned gender of the person, I assume that society in general has become more understanding & tolerant.

Then I see some stuff (not actually on this forum... on one of the others)...  and realise that its one thing for people to not understand it...   and quite another all together when people do understand it... but won't tolerate it.

It is depressing!

Yeah, that's how I feel too, Ditty. (Edit: your post about trans issues, not Ickle's tonsilitis)

One of my closest friends has recently decided to transition. I'll admit I've had some wobbles in my struggle to support her, but just as many as when my Mum started a new relationship. It's just coming to terms with change, not being against change itself.
