Betfair doing this will put pressure on the bookies to do the right thing.   Whether they will or not is another matter!

Apparently other places have not been so fair.

Honest to god, this has made me so mad. Duds had to tell me to shut up going on about it today. I even told my mum who never watches BB.

His mother supported him right through till finals night ............then the rug was pulled from under her. I still really LOL when I remember that .............miserable gits at BB have pulled it off you tube.

Apparently so Menty.

I can't believe BB didn't think of it beforehand. Surely they know how many bets are put on the programme?

Or maybe they did think about it.

Betfair has really shaken the bookies up with stuff like this.

It happens a lot with all the other betting... prior to Betfair the bookies would, in the event of any ambiguity, side with themselves...   then along comes Betfair... a place where people place bets with other people... no bookies involved.   but administrated by people who play fairly...  

Its shaken the whole betting world up...   for the better!

When the Twins became one,  I had Amanda on mediocre odds, and  Sam on bloody fab odds...    some of the bookies tried to level the odds down when they became one (so you got them both at the lowest odds)...   

Betfair did it the obvious & fair way...    they found the middle odds (ok.. tis too late for the proper mathmatical term for that)..   after a week or so most of the bookies belated did this too.

I don't understand why there was the no particular order thing, they should have gone out based on their percentages.  I feel quite sorry for Steve going 1st.  And I must admit it bugs me a bit about Corin going before JJ1, because of a conversation  with JJ2, JJ1 said one of the highlights for him would be Corin leaving the house before he did.  Regardless of whether you like her or not she should have left after him.

I feel BB handled this very badly, because it doesn't matter how many times you say 'in no particular order' people tend to remember the order people left.  And don't even get me started on vote to evict instead of vote to save!!

I don't think the producers should consider this tbh!

betting is betting...    BB should not involve itself in it in ANY way.    Not even to not alter the way it does its evictions...  not on the grounds of it upsetting the betting.

I think they did it because 

a) they wanted it to be a Dave / John James cliff hanger

and

b) because they knew JohnJames was the biggy..  the big eviction...    some people would turn over once he was out (fans... and those just hell bent on getting him & him alone out of the house)...  

also..  the others got their cheers...   they may well have got more boo's if John had gone first...  the crowd would have been in  a booing mood.

It was a disgusting decision Menty. It messes with the whole concept of the programme!

I liked it 

I liked some of the consequences of it.

Which were?

Only very shallow, very petty, schadenfreuden type feelings towards the tiny minority of aggressive, and downright rude fans, of certain opponents who went out before JJ.

Extra time to enjoy the JJ one of course.

Coral have paid out on John James being 9th out.

William Hill weren't....   but are now!!  

and.. yep...  Paddy Power has paid out too!

So... they did the right thing in the end! .

Oh thank god I read that before going to bed! I will be able to forget about it now

its a long job (on account of having to cut a joint of beef into tiny tiny strips) but well worth it for the end result...
