NO!

although...   if all goes according to plan I may be quite excited next year... cos she will either be gap yahing for a year at home (whoop)...   or going to UCL or Kings in London (and staying at hubbies old flat... with her Uncles)...    (Imperial tend to insist they have a gap yah)...

but whatever...   thats next year!

in a couple of years I have it all to do again with the boy

tell you what though Trix... your situation has galvanised some decisions about uni courses for my daughter... much as she really really fancied the biochem courses... I think she is going to go down the Chemical Engineering route now... (or... maybe... perhaps, even Materials Science) when she gets back we are going to do a week looking at the job market for graduates of various courses.... if its any consolation (just a teeny weeny tidgy bit)... by sharing you have helped someone else not end up in the heartbreaking situation you are currently in. though... I stand by my initial post... you will get the right job... it will work out for you... good always reaps good in the end... it just takes time sometimes
Haha thanks Ditty...well I have an interview on monday with a recruitment agency that scouted me out from Reed's recruitment for a job that is for the most amazing company in the world! So hopefully that will all work out. Also as much as my poor attempt as getting a job might be putting ickle off biochemistry, make sure she remembers that the job market changes pretty dramatically in 3 years, when I applied they were screaming out for biochemists. Anyway, I am also applying to become an accredited biomedical scientist which will get me a job without experience. And as I have withdrawn my application now, I can tell you all that I applied to work for the MI5, hence why nothing has been said about the jobs for a bit. I withdrew from about the 6th stage because I realised that I didn't really want to do it. And I am now hearing back from a lot of companies all at once. I don't know if I'll get to go on the rides ducky because I will be working in a coffee shop not as a ride host, but I do know that ride hosts get to ride them every morning for free, and if my job wasn't only for 2 months I'd have loads of free tickets. Enough about me, big big big big big HUGE congrats to ickle, those results are blimming impressive and basically...well done! If I was feeling technical minded enough I'd find some kind of huge congratulations banner that I could personalise.

Awww! Ditty and Duckster! Virtual  and  to you and your Ickle and Duds! Wow! I feel virtually proud too! Is that weird?

Also, and hope this doesn't sound weirder, makes me proud also because your kids are the product of the upbringing you've both given them and makes me know I pick my friends well.
