HOLY SHIT!!!
I KNOW!!!!!!!!

I feel like shouting that one from the rooftops!!! A bloody B! After all that insisting he couldn't do it.

Mid you, he was telling the truth though....at the time..... he failed every Stats mock he sat (three of them!!! ) in the preceding three weeks before the exam.   Just goes to show......cramming does work!!

I just hope he has learnt his lesson, and this year will learn it as he goes.

Yeah right.
Ducky
but what an acheivement...    I do hope he has gained a feeling of "if I set my mind to it, I can do it" from this....

I remember the night when you left him with the graph paper, pencil, ruler & NO eraser...

and then you returned to find the pile of graph paper neatly piled at the other side of the desk...  each one with a "gone wrong" abandoned graph on it!

oh great!!!! harder than this year!!!!
Maybe harder is the wrong word. More stressful maybe, cos it's do or die time? Sorry

It's certainly harder if they bog themselves down with resits though! I've seen that time and time again!

Try telling that to the little know alls in Y12 who think ahh sod it, I can improve it next year, though

Well Done to Duds Ducky! They are really really really good results...and don't worry about the science (I got an e in both biology and chemistry exams in as year, so had c's in both for my AS grade, came out with high B's in the end)

And I am now officially employed, for 2 whole months, in a coffee shop inside Alton Towers...brilliant(!)

I have decided that even if an envelope with her results in did arrive... I wouldn't open it. its pointless without her here.... it all feels a bit surreal for me today ! I like it
Oh god.... I forgot about the envelope!

It will stare at you all week.

I sat in the car outside the college when he went to get his results this morning. I expected it to all be over and done with when he came back, but he turned up with an unopened enevlope!

I wanted to rip it out of his hands screaming "DON'T OPEN IT" .
Ducky
tell you what though Trix...    your situation has galvanised some decisions about uni courses for my daughter...

much as she really really fancied the biochem courses...    I think she is going to go down the Chemical Engineering route now...   (or... maybe... perhaps, even Materials Science)

when she gets back we are going to do a week looking at the job market for graduates of various courses....

if its any consolation (just a teeny weeny tidgy bit)...   by sharing you have helped someone else not end up in the heartbreaking situation you are currently in.

though... I stand by my initial post...   you will get the right job...  it will work out for you...   good always reaps good in the end...   it just takes time sometimes xx

last year I took her up to the school to get her results.... she brought out the sealed envelope and said "not here mum"...

but I couldn't help it..   I had been in total agreement that we would wait til my fingers touched the envelope....  and then I went into a tazmanian devil type paper ripping frenzy to get at her results!
