Do you know much? I'm gonna start learning it when I get back to uni and I'm half-scared cos it's not like French is it? Well grammatically it's not is it?

it's nothing like french, that I can confirm

Seriously tho, it's a much easier language to learn than french (well I think so)   I think it's the 'sound' of it that sticks in your mind more so,  even so, there's a lot of german and french words in our own language, I don't think you'll have any problem with either

The rabbit jumped through the telephone line from menorca and ordered me over there, but I couldn't go because my sibling is in greece doing greek things   And I was covered in mud & sludge and all things green *shudders*   and was called away on an emergency to rob the public of their money cos our robbing machine was broked  And the people at the end of the robbing machine were unable to help until tomorrow, so I got my knickers in a twist and strangled 'em with 'em, and they soon changed their minds  and put our robbing machine back online

This so sounds like a dream/daymare....... I assure you it isn't

So when I got back home from the emergency, I made hubby go get me some wine, I really really needed it

I understood it word for word.

Scatts invited you on holiday.... but your brother was singing "You're the one that I want" so loudly that you slipped on your pea patch, slid down the garden and got caught by a speed camera. You rang them up and told them you would pay the fine by selling your knickers on ebay.

I don't understand the bit about the wine though?   What's that code for? Menty?

Sorry to invade, but German is exactly the same as French gramatically. Most European languages are based on latin, so you have to conjugate through the genders, which means that the word changes when its either male, female or neutral. It's not that easy to learn. I was always grateful that I only had to learn English, it's so much easier.
