I do. In the old days of TV LF I would have the telly on mute, listening to music and then just turn it up if something exciting happened. I'm going to have to try and find that post I saw!

actually.... I have my trackball mous (the one where your thumb operates the trackball bit) plugged into the lappy... when lappy on knee the trackball sits on the sofa next to me.... that works quite well!Reference:

I'm starting to feel like a certain FM who always argues against any advice offered even when she's asked for it ....... but......I use my lappy while on the sofa and there's no room to the right of me to put a normal mouse cos it's a corner sofa and I'm snuggled up to the side of it.
I've just remembered what my sons last piece of advice was to me though....(said in a mildly shouty voice as he lost patience with my excuses)...."just use both bloody laptops then"

nah... it doesn't work... its frustrating & you have to do the horizontal scrolly thing...tbh even with the tiny live feed window on top... its still not the same.... I would have to be headphoned... cos the telly will inevitably be on!... & unless the proper one is better... its all a bit jerky & Max Headroom style!
I am sitting here.. slating it to death.... but I am also aware I am soooo gonna get it anyway!
