didn't have any strong feelings about him either Scatts... til I watched the video. It's unbelievable.... I still can't get my head round it at all!
No, I see what you mean Ditty - everbody's personal religious views are fine as far as I'm concerned, but to do something like that - I just don't get it...not when he's supposed to be a Christian....

Z...   this has been one of the most stressed "waiting to hear about the job" weeks I have ever had!   let alone Ducky.

There were things going on in the background that were not communicated in any way to Ducky... she has spent the past week and a half being fobbed off and avoided.  She has been angry, depressed, paranoid, gutted, angry, fed up etc etc

I screamed out loud when she told me!

SHE must be actually bouncing off the walls right now!

That's exactly what my mum said too!

It's been a tough week Zaph. The Head has led me a right merry dance and for various reasons I managed to go from confident of getting it, to convinced I hadn't got it, to believing there wasn't even a job to get, within the space of 9 days.

I did such a good job of convincing my mum I hadn't got it she went out and bought me a commiseration card this morning. When I called her to tell her I'd got it she had to open it, scribble out the message and write congratulations

What did you used to do Ditty?
I have had a number of jobs...  all admin/management.   Main ones were pub manager....

then in the NHS I started as a hospital lab assistant, then became a PA to a Directorate Manager, then a Mod Squad Project Manager and finally a Risk Manager!

I am not going to go back into the NHS though.

But you are right...   I enjoyed the status that came with my job... I didn't revel in it... I didn't really think about it, til I became a full time mum.

Then I realised how the world sees me...   its hard!

the ironic thing is... the reason I rose up through the ranks in the NHS so quickly was cos I knew that going out to work was WAY easier than staying at home with the kids  (who were little... and hard work)... it was the easy option & yet it got more respect!
