Astorias husband has asked me to pass on his thanks for all the kind words and thoughs expressed here.

He has asked me to collate a document for him to pass on to her parents of memories so I will be using the kind words form the forum if nobody objects. I know she has been remembered in the Newmark thread and also in the Astoria one so I will be using those too.

I for one can't believe she is gone and will miss her terribly.

Thanks again everyone xxxxx

That will be lovely for her family and may bring them comfort knowing how loved Astoria was on this forum, thinking of her family at this sad time in their lives Frowner

Before she left for good her visits became further apart, so we had no reason to expect more than that. Hug

That's true ducky ... and there was so much to-ing and fro-ing between forums that nobody would have thought it unusual ... I haven't had the heart to go and look through the old Divas Newmark thread yet ... but I'll build myself up to it and have a good old cry too ... they were happy days ... Hug

I read the first 20 pages, I'll leave the rest a while. Van's read up to 350-ish! Happy memories and a fitting memorial to Asti I think. Hug

I didn't come to the forum much yesterday because I was so devestated by the news. Asti and me had so much in common and always had a giggle together. I feel as though I have lost a real friend and can't believe I'll watch this BB without her. Who now will understand my passion for The Undertaker (WWE wrestler) and not ridicule me for it?!

Astoria was warm, funny, rude, vulnerable and truly lovely to know. I was hoping she would find us here in time for BB and am unbelievably sad that I will never chat to her again.

My heart goes out to MrA and all her family... Hug

She was clearing out a cupboard .. one of those ones you open the door and everything lands on yer headSmiler .. and we landed up inventing the expanding closet. She patented it in her sig and started howking out all these imaginary outrageous outfits out of it in various threads . I remember her silver platform boots used to get an airing regularly! Smiler ( I think they were hanging out of the silver cross one night she was on the virtual gin)

I have so many memories and yet still finding out more about Astoria (which is nice)

She welcomed me with open arms, more so than anybody i have met on any forum - and i loved her for that.

She was always warm and kind and treated me with great understanding.
She was interested and interesting, emotionally rich, open and honset. I was endlessly fascinated by her conversations and looked forward to her name appearing at the bottom of the screen.
She was complex, vulnerable and we both gained comfort from the common ground we shared.

We seemed to be singing from the same hymn sheet of life and the bond was made. I truly adored her.

I thought we would eventually meet and i looked forward to that day. Sadly i was wrong.
