Aged 60 - from a heart attack. How shocking - I'm really sad about that.

Just 60 - shocking - a great guy.
Only recently was reading a piece about a theatre production he was in and he suddenly complained and when asked what was wrong he said, "My tooth's just fallen out"

I recently mentioned Colinâs Sandwich to a work colleague during a discussion over favourite past comedy showsâĶ but all I got was a puzzled look! Maybe not one of Melâs best but I remember it fondly.

The above sketch is one me and my friends regularly quote, bit of a classic for us. Just talking about his death with a mate and he said that Mel had been ill for sometime.

It's caused quite a fuss in my home town. He was related to the original local ice cream peeps. A fact my Mum kept reminding him of every time she saw him at the races!
NTNOCN was ground breaking stuff at the time, and there are too many classic sketches to mention, though I remember the darts players as being LOL funny.
Mel didn't look after his health but 60 is too young. RIP.
