'Half a beer', better than 'half a fouler'!

I reckon they were asking if you're gay , Henry
It's inconceivable isn't it. I think it's because my interlocutor was naive about style, fashion and hair length.
Hmm...I'm not sure...were you wearing the pashmina and were your legs crossed?

Henry, I'd love to take you on a tour of the pubs round Mile End

I was asked once if I was 'half a beer'. I hadn't clue what I was being asked.
Actually, I asked in response, 'What's half a beer?' and I received an odd answer: something like: 'You know, a bit of a Stella?' - which got me thinking we were on about Artois.
Oh, now I'm confused too.
See, I though 'half a beer' might be 'queer', but I have no idea what 'a bit of a Stella' might be

No: I'd be playing six-a-side football and I was enjoying an intermission during the game.
Hmm....in that case, was your hair long at the time and do you run like a ballerina?
You do make me laugh

What on earth is 'half a fouler'? I haven't come across that before.
Eastenders character?

My hair was characteristically curled and my manner of running was determined and decisive. I had even scored.
It was probably the handbag that did it then

Maybe
'Scuse me if I'm going off tangent on this here Lundin 'fred but I was gonna start a bit of a sing-song, Cockerneeee style.
But I've got a hangover and the thought of Knees Up Muvva Braaaaaaaaaaahnnnnn is to much even for me. So here's a few words to make me go misty eyed instead:
Dirty old river, must you keep rolling
Flowing into the night
People so busy, makes me feel dizzy
Taxi light shines so bright
But I dont need no friends
As long as I gaze on waterloo sunset
I am in paradise

I missed it, Smoke but I have seen him popping up on a few shows recently.
He's made an album with a choir (if I remember rightly), singing all his stuff.
Didn't sound bad either.
