East Lane, wasn't there a market there? I am sure it rings a bell and I used to go? Confused

Yes, there was Lassie. Presumably there still is although we don't go anymore.

We always called it 'East Lane' although I do believe it is actually called 'East Street'.

I was born in Putney Nod Lived in Upper Norwood for a time.

We lived near Putney Bridge initially, then moved to Parsons Green and then where we finally ended up on the Chelsea/Fulham border until I got married and moved to Surrey.

Still miss London though.

Aha, that's it. Many a Saturday was spent down there

Roll Eyes..every Sunday when I was a kid, dragged down the lane, mind you the promise of a toy always worked. Wink

I always remember having a glass of Sasparilla whilst hubby went to get his tub of jellied eels. No way would I entertain him being near me when he was eating those awful things.

Don't understand it really - he hates fish but he loves jellied eels.
