No news as to the missing contestant. At the end of last night's episode where the chefs are told who is through and who is out, we normally see the 4 chefs together before they are told, but that bit was missed out. Burhan is the first to be told he's going through. Normally the first chef to go is told they are leaving - that bit was missed out as we then go to where which of the other two have got through. At the start of the announcements, Gregg did say it's been a tough day in the kitchen. So it's reasonable to conclude that the missing chef was the first to be told they are out, and also that they had had a tough day in the kitchen. One can assume that the chef had had such an appalling day that they requested that they not be shown as it could well impact on their career.
The Christmas specials I mentioned, there are two Celebrity specials and two Professional specials. Each of the four episodes have four contestants.
One of the Celebrity specials has broadcaster and journalist Janet Street-Porter, actor Christopher Biggins, broadcaster Dev Griffin and TV personality Vicky Pattison.
The other has Strictly Come Dancing judge, choreographer and director, Craig Revel Horwood, entrepreneur and TV presenter Amar Latif, actress Crissy Rock and entrepreneur, businessman and TV personality Spencer Matthews .
One of the Professionals specials has Steve Barringer (finalist 2011), Exose Grant Lopo-Ndiga (finalist 2019), Oli Martin (finalist 2018) and Olivia Burt (finalist 2019).
The other has Danny Parker (finalist 2014), Louisa Ellis (finalist 2017), Marianne Lumb (finalist 2009) and William Chilila (semi-finalist 2018).
Names are hidden for those who don't want to know.
@Moonie posted:El, you can see the names in Topics but not when you tap on your post
Thanks for mentioning it, I hadn't spotted it, Must be something to do with the way the forum software is written. I'll do another reply after this one as it's only the latest 3 replies shown.
There will be a Chef's Table episode in the finals week of Professionals but it looks as if the finalists will be cooking for 8 chefs rather than dozens of them. No sign that there's an episode in a different country in finals week either.

Any news on what the skills tests are tonight please ?

No news yet as to when the Christmas specials will be shown. The final of Professionals is on Thursday 17 December so I doubt it they would get shown before then. Logically at some point in the following 2 to 3 weeks after then.

Marcus's challenge is preparing scallops with a romesco sauce and a marinated tomato salad.
Monica's is to prepare lambsβ kidneys served on toast with a madeira mustard sauce. Vegatarians, vegans and those who are squeamish may find this a bit much to watch.
