I knew that he had won before the final started but didn't want to spoil it for you. He announced earlier today to a Birmingham newspaper that he was opening his own restaurant there in January or February as he thought the time was right for a new challenge. That's just what a winner would decide to do.

It's a repeat of the one shown last Christmas.  It's called Rematch 2018 as it was shown then. The chefs were from various years, the earliest being in 2011 (Claire Hutchings) and the most recent from 2016 (Matt Healey and Elly Wentworth),

The new one (Rematch 2019) is on Monday.
